Waseem Alshikh

Overview

Waseem Alshikh is co-founder and CTO at Writer[1][3]. Alshikh previously co-founded Qordoba, serving in that role from May 2015 to September 2019[4]. Earlier career positions included CTO at iMENA from February 2013 to September 2014[5], senior product manager at Danat eVentures from August 2010 to January 2013[6], and co-founder and head of engineering at CloudAppers from June 2008 to August 2010[7]. Alshikh also held senior software engineering and web development roles at Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, EYE Advertising, and Advanced Web Solutions between 2000 and 2008[8][9][10]. Alshikh holds a degree in Computer Science with focus on semantics, artificial intelligence, programming languages, infrastructure, and networking from Beirut Arab University (2003–2007)[11], and a degree in electrical and electronics engineering with high honors from Damascus Polytechnic for Electronics (2001–2005)[12].
