Maik Taro Wehmeyer

Overview

Maik Taro Wehmeyer is Co-Founder and CEO at Taktile, a position held since 2020[1][2]. Wehmeyer completed a degree in Statistics at Harvard University in 2014[10] and earned another Statistics degree from École Polytechnique in 2015[12]. Prior to founding Taktile, Wehmeyer worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at QuantCo from 2016 to 2020[6], and held research positions at Harvard Business School and Harvard University[7][8]. Wehmeyer also completed a summer associate role at The Boston Consulting Group in 2015[9]. Since founding Taktile, Wehmeyer has served as a Member of the European Commission's European AI Alliance beginning in 2020[4], a Founding Member and Head of Finance and Insurance at KI Bundesverband e.V. since 2018[5], and was designated a Global Innovator by the World Economic Forum in May 2025[3]. Wehmeyer participated in Y Combinator's S20 cohort[11].
