Overview

Jane Ractliffe is the APAC MD and Co-Founder of Standard Media Index at Guideline[1][2]. Ractliffe co-founded Standard Media Index in July 2009[4] and served as Managing Director of its Australia/NZ operations from January 2014 to August 2023[5]. The concept for Standard Media Index developed over more than 15 years of work as a business media journalist, during which Ractliffe identified a gap in available information on changing ad demand trends[2]. Prior to founding Standard Media Index, Ractliffe worked as a Business Media Reporter at The Age from January 1998 to March 2001[8] and subsequently at The Australian from 2001 to June 2009, including a role as Media Editor from April 2007 to June 2009[6][7]. Ractliffe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of South Australia[10] and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia[9].
