Anthony E. Malkin

Overview

Anthony E. Malkin is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Empire State Realty Trust, Inc.[1][3] Malkin joined the company's predecessor entities in 1989, serving as President until October 2013.[4] Prior to that role, Malkin was President of W&M Properties from 1989 to 2000[5] and held positions as Principal at Anthony E. Malkin Associates from 1987 to 1988[6] and as Analyst at Chemical Venture Partners, LP from 1985 to 1987.[7] Malkin has led efforts in existing building energy efficiency retrofits, coordinating work among the Clinton Climate Initiative, Johnson Controls, JLL, and Rocky Mountain Institute on a project at the Empire State Building, and developed standards for energy efficient office tenant installations through the Tenant Energy Optimization Program at the Urban Land Institute.[2] Malkin holds a B.A. cum laude in General Studies from Harvard University[8] and completed secondary education at Choate Rosemary Hall.[9]
