In 2015 (turned 41), I thought it was my last shot to build something else and I decided to build a VC fund. I Started at ABN AMRO in 1997, then built the 1st mobile bank prior to iPhone era and reached 1m MAUs by 2006, continued in IBM, and then as CTO of one of Europe's largest banks, built a 15,000-person engineering team and the largest digital bank outside of China reaching 65M MAUs by 2014 (that was more than all the US banks combined) I discovered the real challenge wasn't scaling tech.
