Susan Madden

Overview

Susan Madden serves as Vice President for Philanthropy at Manhattan School of Music, a position held since May 2018.[1][2] Madden's career in development and external affairs spans multiple cultural institutions in New York. Prior to joining Manhattan School of Music, Madden held the position of Senior Vice President for Development at The Paley Center for Media from 2016 to 2017.[3] Madden previously served as Senior Vice President for External Affairs at the Museum of the City of New York from February 2010 to December 2016, and as Vice President for Development at the same institution from September 2007 to February 2010.[4][5] Earlier positions included Director of Development at the New York Restoration Project from August 2001 to 2007 and Director of Individual Giving and Membership at the Guggenheim Museum from March 1989 to August 2001.[6][7] Madden holds a Master of Arts degree in American Civilization from the University of Pennsylvania (1985–1986) and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Le Moyne College (1980–1984).[10][11]
