Sharon Obuobi is Founder & CEO at ALT/FNDATA[1], a company that aggregates transaction-level data from major auction houses to serve the alternative asset market[2]. Obuobi previously worked at Sotheby's in Modern & Contemporary African Art from October 2016 to July 2018[7] and holds an Art Business Certificate from Sotheby's Institute of Art[13]. Obuobi earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Smith School of Business at Queen's University[11] and completed a specialized course major in Marketing through a student exchange at Audencia[12]. Prior to founding ALT/FNDATA in January 2023[3], Obuobi founded and served as CEO of Oarbt from January 2021 to January 2023[5] and founded R&Co Developers, serving as Managing Director from July 2018 to December 2020[6]. Obuobi currently also holds the position of Fractional Chief Product Lead at PayAngel[4].

I built ALT/FNDATA to solve a problem no one else was addressing: the $1.7 trillion alternative asset market covering watches, fine art, jewelry, wine, classic cars which had no institutional-grade data infrastructure. We changed that. ALT/FNDATA aggregates transaction-level data from major auction houses including Christie's, Sotheby's, and Phillips, delivering backtestable datasets to hedge funds, wealth managers, and quantitative researchers.
