Satya Nitta is co-founder and CEO at Emergence AI [1][3]. Nitta holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute [8] and has research interests spanning computing, AI, silicon technology, cosmology, life sciences, astrobiology, and conservation [2]. Nitta's career has encompassed work in silicon technology and artificial intelligence [2]. From 1999 to 2012, Nitta held several leadership, executive, and researcher roles in the Silicon Technology arm of IBM Research [6], and from 2012 to 2017 served as Global Head of Cognitive Sciences and AI Department at IBM Research [5]. I have an abiding interest in all aspects of computing, especially AI and silicon technology. Other interests span: Cosmology, life sciences, astrobiology, nanoscale phenomena and conservation of species and habitats. I'm an entrepreneur, technologist and inventor. My formal background is in the physics of nanoscale phenomena which I worked on during my Ph.D. My career since then has been split into two parts.
