Oren Setter

Overview

Oren Setter serves as CTO at Pagaya [1][4]. Setter holds a Bachelor of Science in Talpiot from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem [12], an MBA and PhD from Tel Aviv University's Coller School of Management [11], and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the International Security Program at Harvard Kennedy School [10]. Prior to joining Pagaya, Setter held senior positions within the Israel Defense Forces, including Head of the Strategy Division with the rank of Brigadier General from May 2020 to May 2023 [6] and Deputy Director for Strategy and Negotiations with the National Hostages Taskforce from October 2023 to October 2024 [5]. Setter also served as Head of the Operations Research Branch at the Directorate of Defense Research & Development from July 1996 to January 2009 [9]. Currently, Setter holds positions as Senior Fellow at Harvard's Belfer Center [3] and Adjunct Professor at Reichman University [2].
