Michael Romano

Overview

Michael Romano serves as Chief Business Officer at Lightspeed Venture Partners[1], a position held since February 2022[3]. In this role, Romano orchestrates the firm's global capital formation, investor relations, capital markets and new product strategy, having raised more than $30 billion for Lightspeed by cultivating relationships with leading institutional investors worldwide[2]. Romano founded the firm's co-investment practice, mobilizing an additional $5 billion[2]. Prior to the Chief Business Officer appointment, Romano held the position of Partner of Investor Relations, Global Fundraising & Capital Markets at Lightspeed from February 2016 to February 2022[4], and Vice President of Investor Relations from May 2013 to February 2016[5]. Romano's earlier career included roles in investor relations and business development at Pomona Capital and Liberty Square Asset Management[6][7][8][9].
