Michael Faye is CEO and co-founder of Taptap Send [1][3], a company focused on consumer remittances to Africa and Asia [2]. Faye spent two decades working on international poverty and building companies to facilitate money transfers into emerging markets [2]. This work includes co-founding GiveDirectly in 2008, where Faye served as President until transitioning to Executive Chairman in September 2022 [4][5], and co-founding Segovia Technology in 2014 as CEO until July 2019 [7]. Prior to these ventures, Faye worked as an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company from 2009 to 2014 [8] and as a Research Analyst at the United Nations Millennium Project [9]. Faye holds a PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University and a BA in Math and Classics from Harvard University [10][11].
