Overview
Leonard Tang is co-founder and CEO of Haize Labs[1][3]. Tang spent six years researching the construction of highly reliable AI systems before deciding that benchmark optimization was insufficient for real-world deployment[2]. Tang left Stanford's PhD program to found Haize Labs, focusing on AI applications in industries requiring exceptional reliability including airlines, banks, healthcare, claims processing, and immigration law[2]. I spent 6 years researching how to build 99.9% reliable AI systems. Ultimately, I realized pushing benchmark-maxing was pointless. The ultimate challenge is deploying AI to solve real tasks that real people do in the real world. So I skipped my Stanford PhD and started to serve industries that demand the utmost reliability from AI: airlines, banks, healthcare, claims processing, immigration law.
