Kim White is the founder and director of product at Story Machine Studio, LLC, an experimental storytelling lab exploring how artificial intelligence is changing the way stories are imagined, performed, learned, and understood.[1][2] White spent fifteen years leading digital products from conception to launch across education and publishing sectors, holding positions including senior principal product manager at Oracle from 2019 to 2023,[4] senior product manager at The New York Public Library,[5] and senior product owner at The College Board.[6] Earlier roles included product management positions at Amplify Education, Barnes & Noble Education, and Macmillan Learning, where White worked as both a new media editor and product manager.[7][8][9][10] White holds a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan.[11][12]

For fifteen years I led digital products from idea to launch. While I loved solving complex product problems, what energized me most was imagining something that didn't yet exist and working with talented teams to bring it into the world—products that were useful, delightful, and occasionally changed how people experienced a story.
