Overview
Jesus Izaguirre is Co-Founder and Chief Computational Scientist at Fathom Therapeutics [1][3]. Izaguirre's research interests focus on enabling biomolecular simulation practitioners through three primary approaches: creating methods for semi-automatic reduced model generation to understand biomolecular kinetics and thermodynamics, including Normal Mode splitting of molecular dynamics that achieves 10-1000 speedups over conventional simulation; developing methods for predicting and validating domain-domain and protein-protein interactions across organisms by combining biological and structural systems biology approaches [2]. Prior to Fathom, Izaguirre held positions at Roivant Sciences as Vice President Advanced Simulations [4], at Silicon Therapeutics as Director of Advanced Simulation [7], and at D. E. Shaw Research as Research Engineer [8]. Izaguirre also founded Oak Financial Software Corp., serving as Founder, President and CEO [9], and held an Associate Professor position at the University of Notre Dame [10].
