Elliot Marx is a co-founder at Chalk[1][2]. Marx holds a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Computer Science with a focus on Theory from Stanford University, as well as a Master of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Theory from Stanford University[10][11]. Prior to founding Chalk in January 2022[2], Marx worked as an Engineering Manager at Credit Karma from December 2019 to December 2021[3]. Marx previously co-founded and served as CEO of Haven Money from March 2017 to December 2019, a company later acquired by Credit Karma[4]. Earlier experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at Affirm, Inc. from 2015 to 2017[5], as Entrepreneur in Residence at Lightspeed Venture Partners from December 2013 to September 2014[6], and as a Software Engineer at Palantir Technologies in summer 2013[7]. Marx also worked as a Computer Vision Researcher at Stanford University from 2012 to 2013[8] and as a Software Engineer at Google, Inc. in summer 2012[9].
