Craig Packer

Overview

Craig Packer serves as Co-President and Head of Credit at Blue Owl Capital, a position held since May 2021[3]. Packer is a member of Blue Owl Capital's Executive Committee and board of directors, and serves as Co-Chief Investment Officer for Blue Owl Credit Advisers and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Owl's BDCs[2]. Packer co-founded Owl Rock Capital Partners in 2016, which became the predecessor to Blue Owl's Credit platform[4]. Prior to founding Owl Rock, Packer was a Partner and Co-Head of Leveraged Finance in the Americas at Goldman Sachs from 2006 to 2016[5]. Earlier career experience includes roles as Global Head of High Yield Capital Markets at Credit Suisse from 2000 to 2006[6] and work in High Yield Capital Markets at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette from 1992 to 2000[7]. Packer holds an MBA from Harvard Business School[8] and a B.S. from the University of Virginia[9].
